Magical Christmas Experience at Chobham Adventure Farm

As a family we seem to have accidentally created a little tradition on the day following Little Man's Birthday where we visit Father Christmas!

This year we were fortunate enough to be invited to the Magical Christmas Experience at Chobham Adventure Farm.

A fairly new venue situated near Woking in Surrey, Chobham Adventure Farm is by far one of the best soft plays I have been to. With enormous slides , a large under 3 play area and a huge outdoor adventure park and sand pit area, it definitely surprised me with how big it was when we first came a few months ago for a friend’s birthday party.

The Magical Christmas Experience is just as impressive as the soft play. Situated across 2 marquees with 10 rooms to visit; little ones go on a journey to become an official Elf Helper. I was so impressed by how interactive this experience was. The children were encouraged to create magical reindeer food with Madame Le BonBon, find Mother Christmas’s socks, fix the gift wrapping machine, earn an official elf name at Elf School and meet Santa’s reindeer - all before a personal visit with Santa himself.

After a whopping 2 hour experience in small groups, there is also the opportunity to stuff a teddy bear in the Elf Workshop and collect a photo with Santa too.

One thing I really liked was that as soon as we arrived, the elves were on hand to introduce themselves and help put our little boy at ease. He was a bit overwhelmed at first and quite shy. They quickly made sure that a message was sent round to notify all the entertainers to try and help make him feel as comfortable as possible. This definitely helped because by the time he was due to meet Father Christmas, he was all ready to have a weird and wonderful conversation with him about his beard!

All the staff also knew that it was his birthday the day before too which I really liked so if you have any special requirements, make sure you put these in the notes when booking.

With the average ticket price of £25 per person, it’s not the cheapest but the ticket also includes gifts and entry into the entire play area to enjoy either before or after the experience. (i should point out that parents also receive gifts which we were very grateful for too!)

I would recommend this for children aged 3+.  Younger children are welcome, but due to the duration of the experience and how interactive it is, I would wait until your little one is a little older to fully appreciate just how good it is.

The facilities overall are excellent and there is also free WiFi so if you really want to, you can crack on with some work whilst letting the children play!

Chobham Adventure Farm also serve delicious food including hot meals, freshly baked cakes and healthy snacks for children so it is quite possible to spend the whole day there. It’s really clean too!

You most definitely need to pay this place a little visit!

Until next time
